In response to news that the Colorado Division of Wildlife has found a Canada lynx killed near Silverton, Colorado, a coalition of conservation groups announced today that they are offering a $4,800 reward for information leading to the arrest of the persons responsible for illegally killing the endangered wildcat.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposed today to expand the protected habitat for the Preble’s meadow jumping mouse in Colorado by nearly 18,500 acres along more than 400 miles of streams. Colorado Wildflower Deserves Greater Habitat Protection, Feds Say
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced today that an endangered Colorado wildflower, the clay-loving wild buckwheat, needs greater protection, especially on Bureau of Land Management land east of Delta and Montrose. However, the Fish and Wildlife Service declined to revise critical habitat for the clay-loving wild buckwheat, saying it was precluded by “other priorities.”
